What we like about the HP OmniBook 3 16-by0199nr
Large 16-inch 1920×1200 touchscreen
The OmniBook 3 uses a 16-inch IPS touchscreen with a 1920×1200 resolution and a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. Ryzen 3 7320U is well suited to everyday workloads
The AMD Ryzen 3 7320U combines four cores and eight threads with boost speeds up to 4.1GHz. It is not designed for demanding workstation or gaming workloads, but it provides enough CPU performance for office applications, web browsing, video calls, streaming, and lighter photo-editing tasks.
8GB LPDDR5-5500 memory
The laptop includes 8GB of LPDDR5 memory running at 5500MT/s. The faster memory standard helps improve general responsiveness and feeds the integrated Radeon 610M graphics with more bandwidth than older DDR4-based budget systems.
256GB PCIe NVMe storage
A 256GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD gives the machine faster boot, application-loading, and file-access performance than a traditional hard drive. The capacity is relatively modest, but it is sufficient for Windows, productivity applications, and a moderate local file library.
Strong battery-life claim and USB-C charging
HP rates the system for up to 14 hours and 15 minutes of battery life under its testing conditions. It also supports HP Fast Charge, with the supplied 45W USB-C GaN adapter capable of taking the battery from 0% to around 50% in approximately 45 minutes.
Useful connectivity for a budget productivity laptop
The OmniBook 3 includes two USB Type-A 5Gbps ports, two USB Type-C 10Gbps ports, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm headset connection. The USB-C ports also support DisplayPort 1.4, Power Delivery 3.1, and HP Sleep and Charge.
Who is this HP OmniBook deal suitable for?
The HP OmniBook 3 is aimed at users who want a large-screen everyday Windows laptop without paying for high-end processing or graphics hardware. It is particularly suitable for students, home-office users, web-based work, Microsoft 365, video conferencing, streaming, and general productivity. The 16-inch touchscreen also makes it appealing to users who prefer a larger workspace but do not need gaming-class performance. The main limitation is the fixed 8GB memory capacity, so it is less suitable for heavy multitasking, large creative applications, or workloads that routinely consume a lot of RAM.
