Immersive curved 34″ gaming monitor spotted under $200 with beefy Amazon deal
Table of Contents
If you’re looking for a quality 34-inch WQHD monitor for gaming and productivity, but without completely breaking the bank, then this discounted Sceptre curved ultrawide display is well worth checking out. It’s 31% off its list price, and down to $199.97, which is just a couple of dollars more than its record low on Amazon. For just under $200, it ticks a fair few boxes, too.
It’s a pretty straightforward monitor, in a good way, so here’s what you’re getting. It’s WQHD and LED/ VA, which offers crisp and clear picture quality and also decent contrast, coming in at up to 3000:1. The curve here is 1500R, which is steep enough to offer a sense of immersion, but not too steep that it makes the monitor impractical for other uses. In terms of gaming performance, it has up to a 180Hz refresh rate, which is high enough for competitive, fast-paced gaming. With a 1ms response time, you can expect smooth visuals at high FPS, with little in the way of ghosting and motion blur. On top of that, it features FreeSync Premium, which will further improve overall smoothness by reducing screen tearing and stutter.

FreeSync Premium is a win for fast-paced gaming
With features like low framerate compensation, FreeSync Premium is excellent to have if you’re playing anything at high fps. First-person shooters and racing games, in particular, will benefit from this.
Built-in speakers and RGB are welcome additions
In more budget-friendly monitors, these aren’t always a given, so this is great to see at this price point.
Decent color gamut for gaming
It has 100% sRGB color, which basically means that games look vibrant and punchy, rather than dull and lifeless, which can be the case with more affordable monitors.
Who is this deal for?
It’s a budget-friendly monitor, so if you’re trying to get the most bang for your buck but still want good contrast, color, RGB lighting, built-in speakers, and FreeSync Premium, then this is a good option to consider at its current price. In terms of productivity, it’s going to give you some extra room for multiple windows; however, it doesn’t have more premium features like USB-C with power delivery for single-cable laptop connections or a KVM switch for multi-device setups. Not a deal-killer, but something to be aware of before diving in.
