If you’re looking for a 4K OLED, 240Hz gaming monitor, generally speaking, you’re going to have to drop some serious cash, but the good news is that one standout option from Gigabyte is down to its lowest price ever on Amazon, and it’s genuinely worth a look. This 31.5″ QD-OLED gaming monitor has everything you’d expect from a top-tier display, but throws in a sprinkling of extra, premium features that make it an excellent workstation and productivity pick, too. As a large, main display for a higher-end RTX 5080 or other 4K-ready gaming setup, and also used for creative work like video editing, this monitor makes a lot of sense with its 20% discount and new price of $799.99. Heads up, it’s low stock on this Amazon listing at the time of writing, so if you’re keen, I’d recommend jumping on it sooner rather than later.

GIGABYTE – MO32U24 US – 31.5″ QD-OLED Gaming Monitor

UHD 3840×2160-240Hz – 0.03ms – AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible – Type-C KVM – HDMI 2.1, DP – Height/Tilt/Swivel/Pivot

I’ll give you a quick version before I break down the standout features of this monitor below. This monitor is QD-OLED, but it has a VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certification, which is a level up from most QD-OLED displays (which usually have DisplayHDR 400). The takeaway from this is that not only does it have outstanding contrast and color, but its peak brightness is also very strong. Further, this monitor has an ObsidianShield Film that makes blacks look deeper and colors look more vibrant, even under strong ambient lighting. That’s a win if you’re not a fan of the ‘washed out’ look some anti-glare coatings can produce.

Gaming performance is impressive here, too, coming in at 240Hz with a low 0.03ms response time, supported by FreeSync Premium Pro. Premium Pro is a win if you’re gaming in HDR, as it helps reduce lag while also reducing stutter and screen tearing. To make the most of this monitor’s refresh rate and HDR capabilities, you’re likely look at an RTX 5080 build or above, mind you.

As a workstation monitor for both general productivity and creators, this is a quality pick. You’ve got True 10-bit color and 99% DCI-P3 coverage, making it good for critical edits in creative applications. For PC and laptop setups connected to the same monitor, its KVM switch is a winner for convenience, too. Essentially, you can connect peripherals to this monitor, like a keyboard and mouse, have a laptop connected via USB-C and a PC connected via HDMI, and switch between the two devices without unplugging anything.

So who’s this monitor for? Well, it’s primarily a fantastic monitor for 4K gaming wth outstanding HDR performance, that also doubles up nicely as a creator and productivity display. For the price, it’s very good, as you can easily pay up and over $1000 for similar specs, in my experience. As mentioned, pair this with a high-end gaming setup, like an RTX 5080 or above, to make the most of it; otherwise, check out some of Gigabyte’s many equally impressive and competitively priced QHD options.
