Uninspiring TV audio is rubbish, and if you’re looking for a soundbar to add depth and enjoyment, this Amazon deal could be one for you. LG’s S40TR 4.1-channel soundbar system has undone a recent price increase and is now back to $200. That’s a $50 (20%) saving against the regular $250 list price, and a good discount for a system rarely priced lower. Here’s why you should consider this as the next upgrade to your home theater setup.
LG S40TR 4.1 ch. Home Theater Soundbar with Rear Surround Speakers and Wireless Subwoofer
Why we’d pick the LG S40TR 4.1 ch soundbar system
Multi-channel audio with subwoofer
The LG S40TR is a 4.1-channel home theater system. The main soundbar is backed by two rear wireless speakers, giving you an easier setup for four-channel audio and immersive surround sound. The added power of the subwoofer fills out the system’s sound profile and provides a big enhancement to flat audio for the price.
Stylish and compact design
This system isn’t just smaller in price; it’s also smaller physically than some alternatives. The stylish soundbar uses LG’s new Crest design and is under 30 inches in total length. Its full dimensions are: 28.4 inches (W) x 2.5 inches (D) x 3.4 inches (H), so it can easily lend itself to smaller rooms – as can the subwoofer, which measures a pretty compact 6.7 inches (W) x 12.6 inches (H) x 9.9 inches (D).
