LG’s stunning C6 Series 42″ OLED Evo 4K TV sinks to a record-low price on Amazon
Table of Contents
LG’s fantastic 42-inch C6 OLED has dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon and is now coming in at $999.99, so if you’ve had your eye on it, now is a good time to pull the trigger. Here’s a quick run-through of this TV’s standout features and ultimately why this deal is worth your time.
Firstly, it’s a smaller 42-inch model, so it’s designed primarily for smaller rooms. Often, these TVs are best placed in bedrooms, gaming rooms, and offices, but as a main screen they’re still well-sized and quite immersive if you’re sitting fairly close. It’s OLED, which means ‘perfect’ blacks, exceptional, lifelike color, and a TV that will really shine in low-light environments. If you want everything to look more cinematic, whether that be movies or games, this is a winner.

Speaking of cinematic, this TV handles movies very well, as it supports Dolby Vision and even has a Filmmaker mode. This basically means it can adjust its HDR presentation scene by scene with specific movies, showcasing films the way the director intended them to be seen. It also supports Dolby Atmos, which is what you need if you want to create a 3D soundscape with external speakers.

Gaming performance has always been one of the C-series selling points, so it’s no surprise that this C6 model delivers the goods. It has up to a 165Hz refresh rate and a very low 0.1ms response time, which is outstanding for high fps gaming in 4K. It also features FreeSync Premium, NVIDIA G-Sync, and VRR, which all reduce screen tearing and stutter for a much smoother overall gaming experience.
The processor here is a powerful α11 AI Processor 4K Gen3. This is great to have, as the more powerful a processor is, the better it can execute various picture and audio optimisations in real time. That could be anything from upscaling lower-resolution content to making on-screen motion look clearer and less blurry.
This TV has the WebOS smart platform, which features Google Gemini, voice control, and is incredibly user-friendly to navigate. It also has a genuinely useful Gallery+ feature, which allows you to display high-resolution artwork, photography, and more when the TV is not in use.
What we like about this LG 42-inch C6 OLED TV
Ideal size for smaller rooms, without compromising on quality
While I’d say for a second screen, it’s a little overkill for most people, for a main TV for a smaller room, this is one of the best options to go for that will deliver on picture quality, usability, gaming features, and more.
Its gaming features are genuinely impressive
Notably, having a 0.1 ms response time is extremely low for a TV, and more in line with a gaming monitor. The lower the response time, the less ghosting you’re going to get at a high fps. If you’re playing competitive titles, where motion clarity is super important, then this is a big win.
Powerful processor if you’re big on streaming content
Quality is inconsistent on most streaming platforms, especially with audio and lower native resolution. Having a powerful processor ensures that, no matter what you’re watching or where it’s from, it’s going to look at its best regardless.
Gallery+ is a welcome, premium touch
When not in use, this really does add something special to your chosen room, as instead of a large, black rectangle, you can showcase lifelike-looking artwork instead. It may not be an ‘Art TV’ per se, but it certainly gets it a little closer.
