Low-cost AM4 deal sees Ryzen 5 5600T fall at Amazon

When AMD released AM4 processors in 2024, it was a bit surprising. Slightly different SKUs than already existed for minor changes. Not all of the parts made sense to everyone either. But the Ryzen 5 5600T is a part that’s received backing from users keen for options on a lower budget, and that’s even more of a focus in a new deal we’ve seen on Amazon.
The new AMD Ryzen 5600T deal has seen the price fall to just $109. This is a processor with a typical Amazon price of $129, so the change represents a saving of 15%. At the time of writing the discount means it matches the Ryzen 5 5600 (no ‘T’), but with a higher max boost clock.

- Platform – The Ryzen 5 5600T is a Zen 3 processor, and compatible with the Socket AM4 platform. This longstanding platform provides opportunities to upgrade to 5800 or 5900 processors, adding extra longevity for a PC if desired.
- Architecture – A 6-core, 12-thread part, this processor is suited to productivity workstations and is capable of delivering consistent, dependable, multi-tasking performance of undemanding apps.
- Speed – AMD states that the 5600T is a 3.5GHz processor, with a max boost speed of 4.5GHz, and 32MB L3 cache. The Amazon listing for this deal notes the base CPU speed is 3.3GHz, which may be a typo.
- Memory support – Support for DDR4-3200 memory.
- Cooling – This processor does not include a CPU fan, and you will need to purchase one separately.
Why we love this AMD Ryzen 5 5600T deal
Getting a processor for just over $100 is perfect if you’re on a tight budget for a low-end build – be that a cost-effective gaming PC or a workstation. And the fact that you can get a fairly well-powered AM4 processor for $109 speaks to the strength of AMD’s older-gen platform.
