This year, Samsung has come out with some exciting new TV launches, taking their OLED and QLED ranges to new heights. With the best OLED TVs often being dominated by LG, Samsung’s new top-tier S95D OLED TV certainly puts in a strong contest, with a range of new features over its predecessor, the S95C. Samsung is also renowned for producing the best QLED TVs, and their latest flagship 4K Neo QLED TV, the QN95D, doesn’t fail to impress. However, these new launches have heavy price tags, and we’ve found a deal on Samsung’s 2020 65-inch Q90T QLED TV that might make you reconsider your options if you want high quality that doesn’t break the bank. This TV is discounted below the $900 mark on Amazon, which is somewhat appealing when compared to something like the 65-inch QN90D, currently retailing for $2,699.99 on Samsung’s website.

Right now, Samsung’s QLED Q90T TV is up for grabs on Amazon for just $897.99, and it was typically priced at $998.99 according to Amazon, prior to getting a 10% discount. While this might not seem that generous an offer, we’ve consulted the price-tracking website camelcamelcamel to see what makes this deal worthwhile, and we will be discussing this later in the article. First, check out the specs section below to see what makes this older model a strong pick if you’re after the best Samsung TVs.

Despite being launched about 4 years ago, the Samsung Q90T ticks many boxes associated with a top-notch smart TV. With Direct Full Array 16X technology, the lighting control is precise allowing for life-like blacks and whites. Quantum HDR 16X also ensures a wide range of color and brightness for vivid picture quality, and the Ultra Viewing Angle is designed to reduce glare and improve color performance no matter where you’re sitting in the room. Furthermore, Samsung’s Quantum Processor is powerful and utilizes AI to upscale all of your content into 4K.

The 4K QLED display offers a superb cinematic viewing experience, and Adaptive Picture technology optimizes this by analyzing the room’s lighting for phenomenal picture quality. And it’s not all about the visuals. With Object Tracking Sound technology, the audio you hear will match the on-screen content for a more immersive experience using the built-in speakers. Like the recently launched Samsung 2024 TV models, this Q90T uses Samsung’s tried and tested Tizen operating system, which supports all the key streaming services necessary for a seamless smart TV experience in 2024.

Of course, Samsung’s 2024 QLED TVs have notable improvements over this older model, in terms of their Neo Quantum 4K AI Gen 2 and NQ8 AI Gen3 processors, upscaling engine, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro technology, to name a few. Although, at its current price, this aging Q90T is offering strong value for money. Keep reading to see what’s so great about this Samsung TV deal on Amazon.

What we make of this Samsung TV deal on Amazon

According to Amazon, this TV is typically priced at $998.99. However, as you can see from the camelcamelcamel graph below, it has had much higher offers in previous months. This listing in particular was first priced at $1,499.99 when it hit the shelves at the end of 2022. Since then, its price has been lower than it is now, and it appears to currently have its 3rd lowest offer of $897.99. However, given that it has recently dropped to its lowest offer in over 7 months, we think it’s a good deal that’s worth checking out on Amazon soon, while its price is at a low point.

To summarise, there is a huge amount of choice at this point in time when it comes to upgrading your TV. Samsung’s recent launches, which take their OLED, QLED, and 8K QLED TV ranges to the next level, come with highly expensive price tags. While they’re certainly worth checking out if you have a high budget and you’re looking to get the best of the best, the 2020 Q90T QLED TV is not a bad shout given it offers strong performance across the board for a fantastic viewing experience. Now that it has just had its price dropped below $900 on Amazon, hitting what seems to be a low point, we think it’s a deal worth considering.
