This should give you an idea of how impressed we were; everything from the build quality, design, aesthetics, and overall performance was simply amazing. Here is how it performed:
Signal strength
We tested its signal strength at different distances: 10 ft, 30 ft, 60 ft with one wall, and 90 ft with two rooms between the router and the testing devices. Signal strength is calculated in dBm, and a value closer to 0 means a stronger connection. The 2.4GHz band ranged from -41dBm to -64dBm up to 60 ft, while the 5GHz managed -31 dBm to -76 dBm but managed to push it to 90 ft, which is the edge of its rated 3,500 sq. ft. coverage.
Internet speed
With a wired connection, this router showcased dominating speeds with 262 Mbps and 254 Mbps download and upload, respectively. As for the wireless testing, the table below sums it up perfectly.
| Band | Distance | Download | Upload |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.4 GHz | 10 ft | 103 Mbps | 62 Mbps |
| 2.4 GHz | 30 ft | 78.4 Mbps | 50 Mbps |
| 2.4 GHz | 60 ft | 5.6 Mbps | 22 Mbps |
| 5 GHz | 10 ft | 273 Mbps | 239 Mbps |
| 5 GHz | 30 ft | 269 Mbps | 227 Mbps |
| 5 GHz | 60 ft | 117 Mbps | 131 Mbps |
