Table of Contents
Spending several hundred dollars on a gaming monitor requires a premium result. And the ROG Strix XG27ACDNG is certainly premium. The 26.5-inch monitor is a QHD QD-OLED model, and it’s fallen $150 from its $700 list price. At $550, the monitor has class, speed, and quality for everyday use, content creation, and gaming. It’s not a monitor to ignore if it’s in your price range. In fact, we think it’s the best gaming monitor available – and here’s why.
ASUS ROG Strix 27” 1440P OLED Gaming Monitor
Why we love the Asus ROG Strix XG27ACDNG
Incredible speed
In our hands-on review, we gave this 1440p monitor a perfect five stars, and the top reason was its refresh rate. With its maximum 360Hz refresh rate and an incredibly low 0.03ms response time, we noted that the OLED-powered XG27ACDNG delivered a “pretty sublime experience.” Motion clarity? Sharp at the full 360Hz, with minimal ghosting. Superb.
OLED quality, fantastic contrast
Being an OLED panel, you already expect quality. And this monitor delivers, as our review noted that “contrast and black point were exceptional.” You can expect deep, rich blacks and immersive visuals, as well as incredible detail, sharpness, and truly vibrant colors. Perfect for gaming and enjoying multimedia.

Good for editing
We rate the XG27ACDNG as the best gaming monitor. But it’s not just good for gaming. Its 100% sRGB coverage and 99% DCI-P3 coverage make it a pick for creators, and with some calibration, it’s decent for color-accurate work too. So this deal has potential for video and image professionals who want a monitor that’s great for daily use (and gaming).
What to consider before you buy
The Asus ROG Strix XG27ACDNG has been less expensive on Amazon before (back in June), but not by much. This deal is $15 more expensive, but still the best price we can see anywhere. With our five-star review requiring rigorous testing, we’re sure this monitor is a stellar pick at this price. Our main concern in that review was that the peak SDR brightness was low – but that’s not unusual for OLEDs, so not a huge negative.
