What we like about this Skytech Gaming Azure 3 gaming PC

It’s a very strong gaming build for more than just 4K

Unlike some processors with smaller L3 caches, this build should be able to handle extreme framerate FHD gaming very well indeed. If you’re splitting your time between competitive play and slower-paced gaming in 4K, and everything in between, this is a very good option to go for.

Future-facing platfrom

Many RTX 5080 builds opt for an LGA 1700 socket CPU, like the powerful i9-14900KF, for example. While these may be a touch cheaper, it makes upgrading a little more of a faff. Since this build is AM5, your upgrade runway is much clearer, and with its 360mm AIO cooler, it’s well positioned to handle more powerful, higher-core-count Ryzen CPUs, too.

This PC is very well-rounded and doesn’t scale back in any particular area. Right now, I’m finding that the best RTX 5080 builds hover between $3,000 and $3,200, so this is bang on the money in this respect.

The difference between a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 7 9850X3D is reasonably minor for most people, but the price difference is somewhat notable. I’d suggest opting for the former if you’re looking for something under $3,000, as you’re still getting a 5.2GHz boost clock, 96MB L3 cache, 8 cores, and 16 threads.
