We continue to highlight some of the lower, not low, prices that become available for SSDs. And Acer’s Predator GM7 2TB SSD has caught our eye. The NVMe drive has fallen to one of its lowest prices since the start of the year. And its limited-time Amazon deal may provide some slight relief if you’re looking for an expanded storage capacity. Now at $280, mercifully away from its $371 (2026) peak, it’s below its lifetime average price of $298 (according to price tracker Camelcamelcamel).

Why we like the Acer Predator GM7 2TB

Good performance

The Acer Predator GM7 2TB has been available for at least a couple of years, but it’s still an NVMe SSD offering solid all-round performance. Reviewers and owners speak highly of its sustained speeds, and at up to 7400 MB/s read and 6500 MB/s write, it’s no slouch for mixed uses.

Efficient and cool

Thanks to its four-channel Maxio MAP1602A controller, the Predator GM7 2TB is an efficient NVMe SSD. With efficiency comes cooler temperatures. That’s ideal if you want to keep PC, laptop, or other temperatures to a minimum, and user reviews confirm that stability is consistent while heat accumulation is vanishingly rare.

Laptop friendly

Because the Predator GM7 2TB runs cool and power efficiently, it’s ideal for a laptop upgrade, but it’s also ideal for systems with tighter cases. So the GM7 2TB could suit a Mini-ITX build, or it could suit something like the Steam Machine if you want faster/larger storage than is available out of the box.

What to consider before you buy

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: SSD prices are not low in 2026. While this deal does offer some relief, it’s still relatively high, as the drive has previously been as affordable as $125. So while it is below its average lifetime price in this deal, that average has been skewed by 2026’s astronomical costs. Still, though this isn’t one of the best NVMe SSDs, this is a well-performing, cool, and efficient 2TB NVMe SSD if you absolutely need to buy one. Or you can check some of the deals below.
