It looks like this month is one of the best times to score a Thunderobot RTX 5080 gaming laptop for a great price, as I’ve seen a load of cracking deals on Amazon, though well-regarded third-party seller PCOnline US. The latest deal that popped up on my daily deals reconnaissance is this brilliant Thunderobot Radient 16 laptop, which has hundreds off its list price and is now going for just $1999.00. I say ‘just’ as at this price point, it’s actually one of the most affordable RTX 5080 laptops I’ve come across, and a great way to go if you’re trying to stay as far away as possible from the $3000 mark, where many 5080 laptops can easily hover around.

So what are you getting here? Well, the RTX 5080 packs 16GB of VRAM and is basically a powerhouse for QHD gaming with 4K capabilities, and it also features a 14th-gen i9-14900HX processor, with 24 cores, 32 threads, a 36MB L3 cache, and 5.8GHz boost clock speed. That’s a combo that allows for super smooth, low-latency gameplay and is very well suited to creative workflows and heavy multitasking. Since it’s an older 14th-gen CPU, it helps keep overall costs down, but it’s still an absolute powerhouse regardless, especially when paired with its high-speed, 32GB of DDR5.
The screen is a 16-inch, 300Hz, 2.5K (or QHD+) display, with 500 nits of brightness and 100% sRGB. That’s great for gaming on the go, even in brightly lit rooms or daylight, and with its sRGB coverage, games should look super vibrant, too. Is it great for intricate design work? Well, I’d probably go for an OLED display instead with higher DCI-P3 coverage, but again, it’s cracking for the price.
