This popular and recently released Roku 65-inch Pro Series TV is sitting at its lowest price on Amazon right now, with a solid 17% off, coming in at $999.99. No, for a TV this size, that’s actually pretty competitive, as this is the price I’d personally tend to see most 55-inch or even some higher-end 48-inch OLED models go for. What’s more, it actually packs a few premium features that can make all the difference for watching films and gaming. It’s also a TV that’s designed to be super practical and user-friendly, making it a very accessible option for most people. Before I run through its key features, here are the most important need-to-knows. It’s OLED, 120Hz native, packs FreeSync Premium, and has extensive HDR support, which includes Dolby Vision. Practically speaking, you’ve got a backlit remote, voice control, Roku’s easy-to-navigate system, and Bluetooth headphone connectivity. Read on for a closer look at why this TV makes a lot of sense at its current price.

What we like about this Roku 65-inch Pro Series TV

OLED panel for incredible contrast

Since these self-lit pixels can easily switch off to show blacks, darker scenes look far more lifelike, cinematic, and atmospheric than with your typical LED/LCD TVs. You pay a premium, for sure, but it’s well worth it, especially if you’re watching films in lower ambient lighting conditions.

120Hz native refesh rate and FreeSync Premium are a win for gaming

This is what you want if you’ve got a PS5, Xbox Series X, or higher-end gaming PC and want to play at 4K at potentially up to 120fps. FreeSync Premium is going to help reduce screen tearing and stutter, and also give you something called low framerate compensation. This is important if you’re playing games and suddenly the framerate falls off a cliff, as it’ll still make everything appear super smooth.

A genuinely impressive remote

It’s like they’ve solved all the major gripes most people have here, as this remote is backlit, has a remote-finder feature where you simply press a button on the side of the TV and it will make a sound, and has push-to-speak functionality, too.

Bluetooth headphone connectivity is another practical win

No need for some random dongle or Bluetooth device you have to learn how to use; simply connect your headphones directly to the TV with no stress whatsoever. This is a very good feature if you want to watch content on the big screen without disturbing others. Great for late-night movies and gaming.

Sweet-spot sizing

Personally, I think 65 inches is the way to go for most people, if you’ve got the space for it. It’s large enough to give you a good cinematic, immersive experience, but not so large that you end up getting only moderate gains for a pretty big step up in price.

Primed for movies and immersive audio

This has extensive HDR support, most notably including Dolby Vision, which means it can adjust its picture settings dynamically throughout a movie, preventing any scenes from looking either too dark or too blown out. It also has Dolby Atmos support, so it’s primed if you want to create a truly 3D audio experience; it’s ready and waiting to be connected to a soundbar or surround sound system.

Is this TV right for you?

Personally, I’d say it’s right for a lot of people, as it ticks all the major boxes without being overly expensive or packing features that only die-hard enthusiasts would tend to appreciate. It is a more value-oriented OLED, so if so, obviously you might find that some TVs from the likes of Sony or LG, for instance, may have the edge when it comes to features like their processors and picture/ audio optimization technology. If I were to explore an alternative to this, I’d say that something from LG’s B-series would be my first point of call. Check out our top 65-inch TV deals below to see what’s currently on sale.
