Table of Contents
This Samsung 65-inch Class QN90H Series TV is back at its best price again on Amazon, with 20% off, coming in at $1,197.99. That’s a pretty good price considering what you’re getting here, which is essentially a higher-end mini-LED TV with strong gaming features and a powerful processor, at a size that hits the sweet spot for most people. As usual, I’ll break down this TV’s key features below, but here’s the quick version if you’re short on time. It’s NEO QLED, which means it’s got more precise control over its contrast and brightness, and features outstanding color. It has a 144Hz refresh rate, so it’s going to be good for use with PS5, Xbox Series X, and higher-end gaming PCs for 4K at up to 120fps. And its processor is the NQ4 AI Gen2, which isn’t the latest and greatest, but still effectively handles upscaling, audio enhancement, and picture optimization. And finally, it’s glare-free, so you can see it in bright ambient lighting conditions.
What we like about this Samsung 65-inch Class QN90H TV
Excpetional brightness, contrast and color thanks to its Neo QLED mini-LED panel
If OLEDs are a bit out of your price bracket, or you’re just looking for something with better brightness for well-lit rooms, then this TV is a worthy consideration. Thanks to smaller and more LEDs than your typical LED/LCD models, you can enjoy excellent contrast for more atmospheric, cinematic viewing experiences. On top of that, its QLED layer ensures that color looks vibrant and lifelike, too.
Excellent gaming features
With a 144Hz refresh rate and VRR, you’re essentially getting something that can be used for high FPS 4K gaming, but with minimal screen tearing and stutter. That’s great if you simply want as smooth an experience as possible, but it’s going to be especially good if you’re playing anything slightly more competitive, where motion clarity and smooth visuals can lend an advantage.

Strong processor helps bolster visual and audio quality
The NQ4 AI Gen2 lands in the middle-upper bracket when compared to Samsung’s processors, so it’s not the absolute top dog, but it’s still very effective at the most important functions. In this case, you’re getting something that can adjust picture settings in realtime and optimize audio for the best experience possible, and can also leverage AI to make lower-resolution content appear closer to 4K. That’s very good if you’re creating content on YouTube, for example, or even on other popular streaming platforms, as not everything is native 4K.
Glare free coating is ideal for well-lit rooms
With OLEDs, you tend to find glossy coatings, which are designed to enhance perceived contrast and vibrancy, but they’re really meant for lower-light viewing. Mini-LEDs are often picked for brighter rooms, so this anti-glare coating makes a lot of sense with this TV.
Is this TV right for you?
Want something for a room with a lot of natural light that’s great for gaming, watching movies, and making lower-quality content look much better on a larger screen? Yeah, this TV makes a lot of sense for the price. If you’re still shortlisting and weighing your options, I’d advise checking out some OLED models, too, as for around this price, you can actually get some pretty good options, albeit slightly smaller.
