What we like about this Stormcraft Skyhawk gaming Pro gaming PC

RTX 5070 Ti graphics card for top-tier 1440p gaming and capable 4K performance

This build features the impressive RTX 5070 Ti, which has 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, alongside a hefty CUDA core count of 8,960 on a 256-bit bus. Built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, this card is excellent for 1440p gaming and can also be used for 4K, when you utilize DLSS and MFG. On the content creation side, it’s a very solid pick, too, and handles demanding creative tasks, like 3D rendering or complex video editing with ease.

Intel Core i9-14900KF processor for top-tier gaming, multitasking, and workstation capabilities

This powerhouse processor ticks all the boxes when it comes to performance, with a very impressive 6GHz boost clock, 36MB L3 cache, 24 cores (8P + 16E), and 32 threads. It’s essentially the type of CPU you’d want to go for if you’re interested in playing games at very high framerates with minimal frame latency, but also need something to carve through demanding creative and productivity tasks with no issues. Its massive thread count is going to make it excellent for working in applications like Premiere Pro and Blender, resulting in much speedier workflows. Be sure to read our full review here for more details.

32GB of RAM for improved gaming performance, headroom for complex edits, and more

While 16GB of DDR5 is sufficient for gaming in most cases, 32GB is really the sweet spot if you’re planning on playing demanding open-world titles and simulators and want to have super smooth performance without microstutters. It’s also much more future-proof, giving you plenty of wiggle room for new AAA releases later down the line. On the creative side, the more RAM the better, especially when editing large, complex projects.

2TB of storage ideal for split usage

You’ve got 2TB storage here, which is great if you’re looking to create a large gaming library, but want enough room to also save various creative files, like 4K video, PSDs, for instance. With some games coming in at 100GB nowadays, it’s a good shout to kick off a build with a 2TB SSD to save you the hassle of upgrading, perhaps earlier than you’d imagine.

Things to consider

So the obvious thing here is that this build has a last-gen processor that’s built for the LGA 1700 socket. In short, if you want to upgrade to the newer Core Ultra Series, you’ll have to swap out your motherboard for an LGA 1851 socket-compatible model. RTX 5070 Ti PCs with 14th-gen Intel CPUs are often much more affordable and do offer excellent performance for both gaming and content creation; however, it’s worth exploring your options if you don’t fancy the hassle of upgrading. This Stormcraft Gaming PC has an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 and RTX 5070 Ti, and is actually under $2,400 right now at Newegg. This would be my pick for a more future-proof option, and at this price, I reckon it’s well worth considering.
