RTX 5080 gaming PC with Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 32GB of DDR5 drops to lowest price in 30 days at Newegg
Table of Contents
This iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC is now down to its lowest price in 30 days at Newegg, with a modest but welcome $200 discount dropping it to $2,799.99.
What you’re getting here is a PC with excellent build quality that packs an RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, and 32GB of DDR5. That’s pretty comparable in price to something with an Intel Core Ultra CPU, like the 7 270K Plus, for instance, but this configuration is going to offer superior gaming performance, thanks to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D’s massive L3 cache 96MB L3 cache.
This is the type of build that’s going to excel at QHD and 4K gaming, offer decent multitasking capabilities, and have enough raw power to handle very demanding creative workflows if needed. It’s also going to be excellent for lower-resolution, very high framerate gaming, where some games become more CPU-bound. This makes it a good option if you’re splitting your time between AAA open-world games at max settings and fast-paced competitive titles.

Stand out features of this iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC
Powerful graphics card with Blackwell features
The RTX 5080 packs 16GB of newer, faster GDDR7 VRAM, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and 5th-gen tensor cores, and has exclusive features like MFG to enhance performance beyond its raw capabilities. It’s a great card for 4K and ray tracing, in particular.
Excellent CPU, and relatively cost-effective
With the Ryzen 7 7800X3D being released some time ago, it makes for a great pick over the similar Ryzen 7 9800X3D if you’re trying to keep overall build costs down, but still want X3D-level performance.
Load of RAM for improved gaming performance
This build has 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is going to ensure that you can play demanding AAA games that are asset-heavy without running into much in the way of micro-stuttering.
Gaming keyboard and mouse included
Yet another win if you’re looking for something you can use essentially straight out of the box. All you need is a decent monitor, and you’re pretty much good to go.
Things to consider before buying
As mentioned, for a similar price, you may run into builds with a newer Intel Core Ultra processor, which I’d advise considering if you’re on the hunt for something that’s going to be better for hybrid usage. For example, if you’re a content creator or creative professional, streamer, and someone who likes to game in 4K, you may find some of the higher core count Intel options more suitable to your needs.
