What we like about this SanDisk 512GB microSD Express Card
Plenty of additional space for games
The card adds 512GB of storage, which can make a significant difference if you buy games digitally. Games can quickly consume your console’s available storage, especially if you like keeping multiple installed at once. But with this card, you’ll have space for several more games, depending on their type. For instance, smaller Nintendo and indie titles don’t take up too much space, but larger games can consume the capacity much faster.

Faster than a regular microSD card
What makes this card different from regular microSD cards is its speed. It offers read speeds of up to 880MB/s, while write speeds can reach up to 650MB/s under appropriate conditions. Faster reads are particularly useful for loading game data, while strong write performance helps when installing and downloading content. The card is also officially licensed for the Nintendo Switch 2, making it a better option than conventional microSD cards commonly used with the console.
Additional storage for screenshots and recordings
Along with storing games, the card can also help store screenshots and short Full HD gameplay recordings. This will let you keep such files on the external card, keeping the main storage only for games.
Who is this SanDisk 512GB microSD Express Card for?
If you’re someone who mainly buys digital games for the Nintendo Switch 2 and are always running out of storage, then investing in this microSD Express Card appears to be a wise choice. The 512GB of extra storage can help you store dozens of games, depending on the title. Plus, as it’s officially licensed for the Switch 2, you won’t have to worry about performance issues.
