The Thermaltake LCGS View u2780S-380 is a premium gaming desktop built for either 1440p/1600p resolution gaming on the very highest level, or great 4K gaming performance. GPU-accelerated creative work or CPU focused productivity applications are also very well served, and the fast 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory helps in this regard too. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 remains the best graphics card for gaming that money can currently buy, and the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor is an absolute beast that can be overclocked further for that additional performance boost. The1000W power supply and AIO liquid cooling  with a 360mm radiator keep the core specs ticking along nicely, with thermals kept in line, and the 2TB SSD storage is plenty sufficient for modern gaming. With sky-high component prices of late, even a deal for $200 off the MSRP of such a beastly rig is a welcome sight, and we highly recommend that you grab this one quickly before it goes.

What we like about this Thermaltake LCGS View u2780S-380 gaming desktop

NVIDIA RTX 5080 performance for demanding games

Graphics performance comes from a desktop NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 10,752 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 memory connected through a 256-bit interface. NVIDIA specifies 960GB/s of memory bandwidth, a 2.62GHz reference boost clock and a 360W total graphics power rating. The GPU also contains fifth-generation Tensor cores and two ninth-generation NVENC encoders. That makes the system suitable for CUDA applications, AI-assisted creative tools, 3D rendering, livestreaming and high-resolution video production. The 16GB VRAM capacity is generous for gaming but could become a constraint in unusually large professional scenes, complex local AI models or specialized workflows that would benefit from the RTX 5090’s 32GB.

The RTX 5080 is intended principally for premium 1440p and 4K gaming. It has enough conventional rasterization performance for high settings in modern games, while its fourth-generation ray-tracing cores are better equipped for demanding lighting effects and path tracing. Ray tracing remains demanding even for premium hardware, but DLSS Ray Reconstruction and Super Resolution provide useful tools for recovering performance. Multi Frame Generation can make supported single-player games appear significantly smoother when the underlying frame rate is already sufficiently stable.

NVIDIA officially supports as many as four monitors and resolutions up to 4K at 480Hz or 8K at 165Hz with Display Stream Compression. The precise display connectors can vary with the installed graphics-card brand, although the reference arrangement consists of three DisplayPort connections and one HDMI output.

A high-core-count Intel processor

The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus expands the earlier 265K design with four additional Efficiency cores and a faster die-to-die connection. Its eight Performance cores handle latency-sensitive and foreground work, while the 16 Efficiency cores increase throughput in heavily threaded applications. This structure is useful for gaming while streaming, video encoding, software compilation and CPU-based rendering. Intel Thread Director helps Windows assign work to the appropriate type of core, although applications and operating-system scheduling still influence real-world behavior.

The processor also includes a small integrated Intel GPU with Quick Sync Video. The RTX 5080 will handle gaming and most creator acceleration, but Quick Sync can be useful for supported video-encoding and decoding workflows. Integrated graphics also provide a diagnostic display option if the dedicated card requires troubleshooting.

Appropriate cooling for sustained performance in a great looking case

Thermaltake uses a 360mm ARGB liquid cooler rather than a smaller 120mm or 240mm unit. The larger radiator provides more surface area for dissipating heat from the Core Ultra 7 during lengthy exports, rendering jobs and compilation workloads.

The panoramic View chassis uses a dual-chamber design, separating major visible components from much of the cable and power-supply area. This arrangement can improve presentation and make cable management easier. Tempered-glass front and side panels expose the internal lighting and hardware, making the system particularly appropriate for buyers who want a display-oriented desktop. Glass-heavy cases depend on carefully arranged side, bottom and radiator airflow. Thermaltake does not provide a complete fan count in the short specification, so buyers concerned about acoustics and GPU temperature should verify the installed fans and radiator orientation.

Gold-rated 1000W PSU

The desktop includes a 1000W 80 Plus Gold ATX 3.0 power supply. NVIDIA recommends at least an 850W system supply for its reference RTX 5080, so the Thermaltake unit provides useful additional capacity for the 250W-capable processor, graphics-card transients, drives, fans and connected USB equipment. ATX 3.0 is designed to accommodate the transient power demands of modern graphics cards and provide a native high-power GPU connection when implemented by the PSU model. The 1000W rating also leaves some room for later storage and peripheral upgrades.

Fast DDR5 memory with a practical starting capacity

The system includes 32GB of DDR5 memory operating at 6000MT/s. That capacity is sufficient for current games, streaming, normal video editing and substantial multitasking. DDR5-6000 also provides a healthy amount of bandwidth without pursuing the more difficult tuning associated with extremely fast memory kits.

Intel officially supports memory speeds up to DDR5-7200 on the 270K Plus, although achievable speed depends on the module arrangement and motherboard firmware. Thermaltake’s 6000MT/s selection prioritizes compatibility and stability rather than extracting the platform’s maximum advertised memory rate.

Two-terabyte NVMe storage

A 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD provides a reasonable amount of space for Windows, applications and a substantial game library. NVMe storage should produce fast booting, responsive application loading and short file-transfer times compared with a mechanical drive.

The Z890 platform should provide further M.2 expansion, but slot count and lane sharing depend on the unidentified motherboard. Additional storage is likely feasible, though the precise arrangement should be confirmed before purchase.

Who should consider buying this RTX 5080 PC deal?

The Thermaltake LCGS View u2780S-380 is best for enthusiasts who want premium 4K gaming, ray tracing and a visually prominent panoramic desktop without selecting and assembling every component themselves. It is also suitable for livestreamers, video editors, 3D artists and developers who can use both the RTX 5080 and the processor’s 24 cores.

It is obviously excessive for ordinary office work, esports at modest settings or gaming on a 1080p 60Hz display. Buyers will obtain the most value when pairing it with a high refresh rate 1440p ultrawide or 4K monitor.

The one-year warranty is adequate but relatively short for a premium prebuilt costing several thousand dollars. Longer support from a competing system integrator may be valuable if prices are otherwise close. Subject to those checks, the View u2780S-380 offers a powerful combination of 4K gaming speed, multithreaded CPU performance and showcase presentation.
