Table of Contents
The Samsung Odyssey G9 G95C is one of the most sought-after super-ultrawide gaming monitors for users who want scale, speed, and immersion. The Odyssey G9 should feel exceptionally immersive in games that properly support 32:9 resolutions. The 240Hz refresh rate makes motion feel fluid, while PBP and PIP modes allow two sources to be displayed at once. You will need a powerful GPU to get the most from it at its full 5120×1440 resolution, and with its VA panel it’s not quite as premium as some ultrawide OLED monitors, however as a result you get to enjoy it at a cheaper price – grab it now for just $699.99!

What we like about the Samsung 49-inch Odyssey G9 G95C
Massive 32:9 Dual QHD experience
The Samsung Odyssey G9 G95C offers a huge 49-inch 5120 x 1440 display, giving you the equivalent of two 27-inch 1440p monitors side by side. The 32:9 aspect ratio is excellent for racing games, flight sims, open-world titles, productivity, and multitasking. The 1000R curve helps wrap the panel around your field of view, making the screen feel more immersive than a flat ultrawide of this size.
Fast 240Hz refresh rate
A 240Hz refresh rate is impressive for a panel this large and high resolution. It gives fast-paced games a much smoother feel, provided your GPU can push enough frames at 5120 x 1440. The 1ms GtG response time and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support also help reduce tearing, stutter, and motion blur during fast gameplay.

Strong HDR and contrast for a VA panel
The G95C uses a VA-based QLED panel with a listed 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and up to 1000 nits brightness. That gives it much better black depth than many IPS ultrawides, while DisplayHDR 1000 support helps bright highlights stand out in supported games and films. It will not match OLED for pixel-level contrast, but it offers a strong balance of brightness, size, and refresh rate.
Who’s this Odyssey G9 monitor deal suitable for?
This monitor is ideal for gamers who want an immersive ultrawide display for racing, simulation, RPGs, and multitasking. It is also useful for productivity users who want one seamless display instead of a dual-monitor setup.
