Super-fast 360Hz 27-inch monitor discounted by a third in new Amazon gaming deal
Table of Contents
If there’s one thing more impressive than a 360Hz 1440p monitor, it’s a 360Hz 1440p monitor that has a third of its list price missing in a deal. That’s the case at Amazon, where Samsung’s 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SD) can now be acquired for $602.69. That’s a full $297.30 less than its $900 list price, and that’s excellent news for gamers who want a fast, highly detailed gaming experience.
SAMSUNG 27-Inch Odyssey G6 (G60SD)
Why we’d pick Samsung’s Odyssey G6 (G60SD) gaming monitor
Super-fast refresh rate for speed and style
The 27-inch G60SD’s 360Hz refresh rate isn’t just fast; it’s beyond professional-gamer-level fast. Supporting a massive 360 frames per second at 1440p, this monitor is for high-powered PCs and owners who would rather get more frames at 2K than make the jump to 4K. The refresh rate is backed by a 0.03ms response time, so you also get super responsiveness without compromise.
QD-OLED with dynamic cooling
This is a QD-OLED monitor, so you can expect to enjoy beautiful visuals, including brightness where it matters and dynamic contrast that adds real depth and immersion alongside brilliant colors. However, as with all OLED monitors, burn-in remains a potential threat. Samsung addresses that with a Pulsating Heatpipe that evaporates and condenses a coolant to diffuse heat. Samsung states this is 5x more effective than prior (graphite sheet) cooling. Plus, the monitor’s thermal modulation system uses algorithms to predict surface temperatures before controlling brightness to automatically reduce heat.

Smooth variable refresh-rate gaming
For smooth gaming even at high frame rates, the G60SD supports variable refresh rates (VRR), adapting output as the game requires. Plus, this monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and is Nvidia G-Sync compatible, so you can enjoy huge frame rates with minimal tearing and disruption.
What to consider before you buy
The main consideration when looking at the G60SD is whether you need the huge refresh rate that this monitor supports. Even if you don’t right now, it may be worth the investment for future upgrades that are capable of matching its specs. However, if you’re really not convinced and could make do with, say, 240Hz, you could save even more money by choosing the G6 G61SH from the same product page.
