This fantastic Sony 55-inch Bravia 6 OLED TV is sitting at its best price ever on Amazon right now, with a hefty 27% off its list price, coming in at $1,098.00. At the time of writing, there are around 20 hours left on the clock for this deal, so if you’re interested, let me give you the quick lowdown on what this TV is all about.

So this is a Bravia 6 OLED, so it’s basically a premium OLED, but slightly more affordable. Being OLED means you get incredible contrast and color, making it excellent for watching films in HDR. It has comprehensive HDR support, including Dolby Vision, meaning it can adjust picture settings dynamically, scene by scene, for a better viewing experience. It’s also excellent for gaming and watching sports, thanks in part to its high 120Hz refresh rate. In fact, it’s primed for gaming on PS5 and higher-end gaming PCs, as it features four HDMI 2.1 ports, ALLM, and VRR. In short, it can handle 4K at 120fps smoothly. Being a Sony TV, you’re also getting some pretty refined, unique technology designed to enhance picture quality even further. Front and centre on this TV is Sony’s Triluminos Pro technology, which allows for a wider range of colors, more natural shades, and more lifelike visuals.

What what we like about this Sony Bravia 6 OLED 55-inch TV

OLED contrast for epic movie nights and gaming

If you want something to look more cinematic, lifelike, or atmospheric, then OLED is very tough to beat, especially in lower light environments.

Excellent gaming features, without being completely overboard

Some TVs have higher refresh rates, but honestly, unless you have an RTX 5090 PC just lying around, they’re slightly overkill for most people. 120Hz is plenty, even for high-end PCs, and with VRR and ALLM, it has everything you need for smooth, tear-free gameplay in 4K.

Light sensor is a useful premium touch

This sensor adjusts the picture settings in real time, so you can experience the best possible picture quality comfortably, without feeling like you’re staring into a supernova when the sun goes down all of a sudden.

Google TV and Gemini

This platform is pretty extensive, giving you pretty much everything you’d need in one place. Access to apps, built-in live channels, easy Google Cast support, smart home controls, and much more. It’s a great pick if you have an Android phone, especially if you want an ultra-seamless experience, and it works with Gemini AI, too.

Who is this deal for?

At 55 inches, it’s big, but not massive, so I think the obvious ideal candidate here would be someone who has a smaller living space but still wants excellent picture quality and overall performance. At this price, it’s pretty much bang on the money for what you’re getting, too.

I’d say that for alternatives, personally, I’d check out some of the B-series from LG. They’re quite similar in many senses, as they’re good but not enthusiast-level. Check out our top 55-inch TV deals below to see what’s currently on sale if you’re still shortlisting.
