FreeSync Premium Pro helps to further improve HDR gaming performance
The top-tier from AMD’s Freesync suite, which essentially reduces screen tearing and stutter, compensates for fps dips, and also reduces lag caused by gaming in HDR for an ultra-smooth gaming experience.
Incredible OLED display for lifelike picture quality
This VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 screen boasts 98.5% DCI-P3 color coverage and an outstanding 1.5M:1 contrast ratio, which puts it a cut above your typical backlit monitors. For more cinematic, atmospheric AAA games, it’s a big win, especially in lower light environments, which will really showcase its OLED qualities.
Seamless display and sleek design
This monitor is ultra-slim and fully adjustable, with a small foot base to preserve as much desktop space as possible, and it’s also virtually borderless, too, which is a quality mostly found in the most premium monitors on the market.
The ideal screen size for QHD resolution
At 27 inches, 1440p resolution looks crisp and clear, making it a great hack for anyone who wants high resolution visuals, without having to shell out for 4K, or, perhaps even more importantly, a 4K-ready graphics card.
Should you buy this LG UltraGear 480Hz gaming monitor?
This is a bit of a niche product in all honesty, so it’s really geared towards those who want a screen that’s capable of very high framerates for competitive gaming and esports, and also want OLED quality to showcase modern AAA titles in all their glory, too. The type of PC needed to take advantage of this would be something like an RTX 5070 Ti, and above, so this is definitely for more high-end gaming setups. If you’ve got the coin and think your gaming PC is up to it, it’s a good way to go.
