This RTX 5070, Ryzen 7 7800X3D build is a winner for QHD gaming and it has a solid discount at Newegg

If you’re looking for an RTX 5070 PC that’s geared towards gaming performance specifically, then this discounted Stormcraft Falcon build is one I’d recommend checking out while it’s still on sale. It’s currently $300 off and comes in at $1,999.99, which is actually a very good price considering that it packs a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1TB SSD.
Now at this price, it’s on the higher end when it comes to RTX 5070 gaming PCs, and you can get a touch cheaper if you opt for perhaps an older 14th-gen CPU or a non-X3D Ryzen processor. That being said, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has the distinct advantage of having a massive 96MB L3 cache, which greatly improves gaming performance across the board. It’s also a smart pick for the RTX 5070 from a price-to-performance perspective. For QHD gaming, it’s going to be excellent and won’t be as expensive or overkill as a newer Ryzen X3D model, like the Ryzen 7 9800, for example.
The graphics card itself is also a winner if you’re after brilliant performance in QHD, and something with newer Blackwell features, like MFG, 4th-gen ray tracing cores, GDDR7 VRAM, and 5th-gen tensor cores. As a complete package, it’s a strong choice, and while 12GB may be a limiting factor in some scenarios, RTX 5070 builds are notably less expensive than most RTX 5070 Ti PCs.

32GB of RAM is great to see, especially as an upgrade at this time can be costly, to say the least. It features a smaller 1TB SSD, but that’s starting to become the standard even with some RTX 5080 builds, from my experience. A bit of careful organisation, and you should be able to store a fair few games on this with no issues.
Cooling is also a big differentiator between budget and more premium RTX 5070 builds. While it doesn’t need an absolute powerhouse system, it’s still a good idea to go for something like this, which has a 360mm AIO cooler, multiple fans, and a pretty spacious PC case for optimal performance. On top of that, with its 850W PSU, it’s relatively well-primed for upgrades in the future, too.
Who is this Stormcraft Falcon gaming PC for?
I’d say that if you want an RTX 5070 build that doesn’t really scale back on its CPU, RAM, cooling, and even design, then this is a good PC to go for that’s also future-facing. It wouldn’t be my top pick for hybrid usage, as the Ryzen 7 7800X3D has a relatively small core count compared to most similarly priced Intel options. That being said, it’s not trying to be an all-rounder, but rather an absolute beast for high refresh-rate gaming with incredibly low latency.
