If you’re looking for a compact PC that packs a punch for 4K gaming and boasts impressive workstation and content creation capabilities, then this is the deal for you. Right now, this Cooler Master NR2 Pro is going for one of its best prices of the year, with a solid 13% discount. Coming in at $2,799.98, it’s relatively expensive for an RTX 5080 build, but not too expensive for one that’s engineered to be this small and from a well-regarded brand in the space, both of which carry a more premium price point.

Now, looking at the components themselves, you’ve got an RTX 5080 16GB, which, as I’m sure you know, is one of the best graphics cards you can buy for 4K gaming and ray tracing, and a powerhouse for 1440p. This card is also one of the best options for those who need something that can handle more demanding creative workflows, like 3D rendering and extensive video editing, and with its impressive AI capabilities, it’s an excellent pick for creative professionals and power users. Its CPU complements split-usage, too, and is a smart, efficient choice for this type of build, where thermals are incredibly important. It’s an Intel Ultra 7 265KF, which packs 20 cores, a 5.5GHz boost clock speed, and 30MB L3 cache. In short, a well-balanced CPU for gaming, multitasking, streaming, and use in creative applications like Premiere Pro. Blender, and more. It also features 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2TB Gen4 SSD to further bolster performance across the board and provide ample storage for games and dense media files, easily accumulated through content creation workflows.

Who’s this PC for?

The big thing, or small thing rather, is this PC’s compact form factor, which is ideal for smaller setups, or simply those who don’t want a massive PC sitting on their floor or desktop. They’re not for everyone, especially as you can get cheaper, larger alternatives which will have more robust cooling solutions, but for those that like them, they’re awesome.

As for performance, this PC is going to be excellent for QHD and 4K gaming and heavy creative tasks like 3D rendering, as mentioned. With its CPU, you’re not going to be grinding out as many FPS from the RTX 5080 as something like a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but at 1440p and 4K, it’s still a good option. Where this CPU will come into its own is its larger core count, which is going to allow you to stream and multitask effortlessly, and assist with large, complex edits in creative apps, which tend to utilize multiple threads simultaneously.

Alternatives and our top gaming PC deals

If I were looking for an RTX 5080 alternative that’s still compact, I’d say this Thermaltake LCGS Traveler 9880S Mini-ITX Gaming PC would be worth checking out, but it’s super expensive. It does pack a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, so it’s better for gaming, but at that price, honestly, I’d be looking for bigger, more powerful builds. Some Xidax prebuilds are a good mid-ground, in my opinion, as they’re often on the smaller size. These can often be found with deep discounts at Newegg.
