This Acer Predator X27 4K, QD-OLED monitor is sitting at its best price right now on Amazon, well ahead of the Prime Day sales, and it’s a great chance to get something high-end for less at just $649.99.

Acer Predator, as you’re no doubt aware, is the more premium lineup from the brand, so while its gaming monitors are more expensive than the Nitro options, they’re worth it if you’re looking for top-tier performance and features. This monitor, as mentioned, is 4K and QD-OLED, but on a slightly smaller than usual 27-inch display. At this size, 4K looks unbelievably crisp and clear, and it’s a more affordable option to 32 inches, and better for competitive gaming, too.

Its QD-OLED panel boasts impressive color, peak brightness, and contrast, and has earned a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Notably, it has 99% DCI-P3 color with Delta E<2 accuracy, which means you can use this for video editing and other creative work very well indeed. On the gaming front, this outstanding color is going to help make games look more lifelike, adding a level of realism to some of the more cinematic, AAA titles out there. With its deep blacks and bright highlights, this monitor is a great choice for lower light environments, especially if you want a more immersive, atmospheric experience.

Gaming performance standouts, too, as you’ve got a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro here. This is a combination that essentially allows for up to 240fps with very low motion blur and stuttering, and smooth performance when gaming in HDR.

So who’s this deal for? Well, I’d say that if you’ve got a high-end, 4K-ready gaming PC, and you want something to showcase AAA games at their best, and want something that will be great for competitive gaming, all without costing as much as a larger 32-inch model, which can be around $800 to $1000 in some cases, then this is a great deal to go for.

Things to consider

As we head towards Prime Day, it’s pretty much the best time to grab a premium QD-OLED monitor for less, and I’m personally seeing a load of cracking discounts already from top brands. MSI, in particular, is a great shout, and LG UltraGear monitors usually get deep discounts, too. I’d say that now would also be a good time to grab a dual-mode resolution monitor for less. These are super versatile, especially if you’re looking to game at lower resolutions at way above 240Hz. Check out our top gaming monitor deals below to see what’s out there.
