This Toshiba 65″ G700 Series ArtVision TV is sitting at its record-low price on Amazon right now, with 23% off its list price. It’s coming in at $997.97, which is actually a pretty good price for this style of art TV. So obviously the big thing here is that this TV is designed to appear as if it’s a framed work of art when not being used for watching content. The physical frame, matte coating, and extensive selection of art to choose from all create a convincing illusion; that’s a far cry from the big, dark rectangle of a TV on standby.

This is a QLED TV, which places it more towards the entry-level when it comes to panel technology. These TVs offer good brightness, decent contrast, and high color volume, but something like a mini-LED or an OLED will have the edge across the board. That being said, it’s not all about the panel itself, but also the technology behind it. In this case, this TV has Toshiba’s Regza Engine Zri Gen4 processor at its core, which effectively handles 4K upscaling, motion handling, and more. There’s also support for Dolby Vision IQ, which allows this TV to change its picture settings dynamically throughout a movie, for example, for the best HDR presentation possible, but also factors in ambient lighting conditions, too. Its gaming capabilities are quite decent here, as you’ve got a 165Hz native refresh rate, which makes it a solid option for pairing with high-end consoles capable of over 60fps in 4K, and also for watching fast-paced content, like sports and racing.

Is this TV for you, though? Well, there are a load of options to choose from that are similar in function. LG Gallery series, Samsung’s The Frame lineup, Hisense’s CanvasTV, the list goes on. I’d say that this particular model is one of the sleeker designs I’ve come across, and the white oak frame does give it a slightly more minimal, higher-end aesthetic that would look great in more modern interiors. Performance-wise, it’s about what I’d expect from most sub-$1000 art TVs this size; good, but you’ll have to up your budget if you want more advanced gaming features and better HDR presentation. For the price, I’d say you’re getting a lot here.

Why go for this deal?

It’s a compelling price for a 65-inch art TV

At under $1,000, it’s pretty competitive, as these TVs can be quite pricey when compared to similar-sized standard TV alternatives.

Decent HDR support

Dolby Vision IQ support is a premium touch here and is great if you’re watching movies at different times of the day and want a more comfortable viewing experience.

Ambient mode, white oak frame, and zero gap wall-fit

You can choose from over 3000 built-in artworks to display when in ambient mode, and at just 1.2 inches thick, and with an anti-glare, paper-like display, it really does blend in seamlessly as a framed piece of art in your chosen room.
