Table of Contents
The MSI RTX 5070 Shadow 3X OC is one of the cheapest variants we’ve seen on Newegg, and what makes it even better is that it is currently on sale. You can grab it for only $609.99, which is a great price for a 1440p beast. The three fans should also help keep it cool and reduce the noise, allowing for better overclocking efforts. What makes this offer even better is that you’ll get 007 First Light for free, but that offer runs out at 6/10/2026 at 11:59 PM PST.
So, if you’re putting together a new gaming PC, thinking of getting started, or just looking for a GPU upgrade, we recommend grabbing this card as soon as possible to get the best value for money. We have also reviewed different RTX 5070s, so you can check out their reviews below before making your decision.
- DLSS 4.5 and MFG allow it to handle 4K gaming
- Good value for money
- Great price for a three fan model
- Doesn’t have the best scaling in productivity
- RX 9070 XT and RTX 5070 Ti are better at pretty much everything
Why you should check out the MSI RTX 5070 Shadow 3X OC
DLSS 4.5 and MFG are the biggest weapons in its arsenal
The RTX 5070’s sweet spot is the 1440p, and you can max out the in-game graphics settings with ease. However, it was also seen pushing native 4K in some titles like Valorant, CS2, Doom, and more. These games aren’t graphically demanding, so that makes sense, but when you have Cyberpunk 2077 and RDR2-level titles, we start to see this GPU’s hardware limitations. To push beyond that limit, you have DLSS 4.5 and MFG. These technologies use AI upscaling to churn out more FPS, and even with ray tracing overdrive at 4K, they allowed this card to churn out insane frames.

Three fans allow for more overclocking
The build quality of this GPU is robust, with a reinforced metal structure, effective thermal padding, DRMOS-enhanced efficiency, and more. The vented backplate, combined with the three fans, allows adequate airflow through the card, keeping the chip and the PCB cool. Since it comes factory-overclocked, these design elements are nice to have; however, you can push the limits as well. This design should allow you to keep the GPU cool and stable, which is great if you want to squeeze out every bit of performance.
