Great news, you can now shift your Discord voice channels to your Xbox. It is really easy to do. In this guide, we will walk you through all the steps you need to get Discord on Xbox Series X.

Discord is an amazing voice and chat app that allows you to connect with your fellow gamer friends. You can now access your Discord voice channels natively on Xbox thanks to an update this year. Whether you are playing Fortnite with your friends or just want some company, you can now use Discord to call your teammates easily. Time to start talking gameplans and strategies, we think.

Xbox issued a new update back in November which brings a whole new set of features that will be great for Discord users. In this update, gamers will be able to access Discord channels directly on their console. You will be able to take advantage of the noise suppression feature in Discord which will mute any background sounds such as keyboard clicks.

To get Discord on your Xbox Series X, all you need to do is follow the simple steps we have laid out below. We have even included a short video just in case too.

1

Use Discord with Xbox Series X

With Discord’s new update, you will now be able to chat with your friends via Discord voice channels directly through your console. It also comes with some great features too. You will be able to control the volume of these chats and seamlessly switch between Discord Voice and Xbox chat while you’re in your game.

Right, let’s start setting up Discord on your Xbox

Step

1

Open Xbox Settings

The first thing you will want to do is boot up your Xbox Series X. Once it is all up and running, navigate to ‘Settings’.

From ‘Settings’ head to the ‘Account’ section then ‘Linked social accounts’. Here you will see all the social apps you can link to your Xbox. We want to link Discord, so head to the Discord tab and click ‘Link’.

Step

2

Sign in to Discord

Next we will need to sign in to Discord. You can either scan the QR code with your phone which will take you directly to the Discord site, or you can ‘Continue on Console’.

Whichever option you choose, you will need to log in with your Discord details as you normally would either on your Xbox or on your phone.

Once you log in, you will be asked to authorize linking your account to Xbox. At this point click ‘Authorize’.

After this, Xbox may make you log back into your Xbox account to verify this process. Just continue the login process as you would, with your account details.

Step

3

Transfer Discord channels to Xbox

So now you have linked your Discord and Xbox account, let’s use it. To join a voice channel on your Xbox you will need to open your Discord App on your smartphone.

Join your chosen voice channel and swipe up to pull up all the settings. Here you will find ‘Transfer to Xbox’, click this button. This will take you to the Xbox App where you will need to select ‘Transfer Voice’.

The voice channel should now be all up and running on your console. To change voice channels you will have to control it from the app, unfortunately. You can, however, take advantage other features on your Xbox such as mute your mic, switch to game chat, and disconnect.

You will need the Discord and Xbox App for this step!

Step

4

Join a Discord channel directly from your Xbox Series X

You can access your voice channels through your mobile app or directly on your Xbox thanks to a new update back in November. Simply join a call directly through your console in these easy steps.

With your Xbox booted up, open ‘Parties & chats’. From here, select Discord. This will open Discord and you should now see all your servers. Now, all you have to do is select the server you would like to join. What’s great about this update, is that you will now be able to preview which friends are in each server before your select it.

Summary

Now that wasn’t too hard, was it? Getting Discord on your Xbox Series X has a heap of benefits and thanks to Xbox’s integration with the online messaging app, we can now enjoy Discord easier than ever.
