Key features of this MSI Gaming Desktop

RTX 5080 graphics card and Nvidia Blackwell Architecture

The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can buy for 4K gaming and complex and demanding creative tasks, like 3D rendering. Coming in at around half the price of the RTX 5090, it’s a popular option for those who want outstanding performance, all the benefits of Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, and a hefty amount of VRAM without the sky-high pricing. With this card, you have 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, improved GDDR7 VRAM, and new features like DLSS4 and MFG to push perceived framerates higher in-game. Read our RTX 5080 review for full benchmarks, but in short, you can expect this card to easily achieve very high framerates in 4K, even with ray tracing enabled.

Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor

The middle-of-the-pack option from the Core Ultra lineup, this processor is an excellent pound-for-pound option that pairs well with the RTX 5080. Thanks to its 20 cores and 20 threads, it’s very adept at multitasking and handling tasks like video editing. Its 5.5GHz boost clock makes it good for gaming and single-core performance, and its large 30MB L3 cache is also a winner across the board. On top of this, it has a dedicated NPU with 13 TOPS, which can come in handy for AI-accelerated workflows. Read our full review here.

64GB of RAM and 2TB SSD

This PC goes all-in with its RAM offering, opting for a whopping 64GB. That’s more than enough for most people, and will aid with everything from multitasking, handling RAM-intensive creative applications, and giving you enough headroom for beefy system requirements, too. Its 2TB SSD is ideal for those who plan on building a large gaming library or want something to hold both games and denser media files without filling up quickly.

Other standout features

This build features MSI’s Mystic Lighting throughout the chassis, which is customizable through the MSI Center. On top of that, as with many MSI prebuilds, it has a tool-free design, which allows you to easily maintain and upgrade without any added stress.

Considerations and alternatives

As mentioned, this is a very premium build, and it’s not uncommon to find RTX 5080 PCs from other brands come in at around $2500 when discounted, sometimes even lower. If you’ve got the budget, this option is great, but if getting an RTX 5080 is top of your list, and you’re not massively fussed about the CPU or having 64GB of RAM, then you could save a hundred by going for a different option. Have a look for RTX 5080, Ryzen 7, or RTX 5080, Intel 14th-gen PCs, if you’re looking to spend around $2,500.
