We’ve spotted this Skytech Gaming Archangel prebuilt PC with a hefty $200 discount on Amazon, reducing its price from $1,199.99 to $999.99 for a limited time. This gaming PC packs an RTX 5060 8GB graphics card, an excellent mid-range 14th-gen Intel processor, 32GB of DDR4, and a 1TB SSD. For under $1,000, we think it’s excellent value, especially considering it’s one of the better-looking budget-friendly RTX 5060 gaming PCs we’ve come across, thanks to its stylish PC case with tempered glass panels and aRGB throughout. For 1080 gaming, plus some moderately demanding multitasking and lighter creative work, this is well worth considering while it’s on sale.
Skytech Gaming Archangel Gaming PC – NVIDIA RTX 5060
Key features of this Skytech Gaming Archangel Gaming PC
RTX 5060 8GB graphics card
One of the best graphics cards to buy if you’re keen on something from the 50-series, but want to keep costs down. This card is designed for 1080p gaming, mostly, but with the help of exclusive features like DLSS4 with Multi-Frame Generation, it can be used for 1440p, too, although its 8GB of VRAM is a limiter here. Where this card comes into its own is that the fact it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell Architecture, which means it features more advanced 4th-gen ray tracing cores, and significantly improved 5th-gen tensor cores, too. While it may only have 8GB of memory, it’s GDDR7, which is much faster than the standard GDDR6 found in the 40-series and many of AMD’s alternatives.
Intel i5-14400F processor
This 14th-gen Intel processor is an excellent mid-range option that’s going to be good for gaming and multitasking, thanks to its decent 10-core and 16-thread count, 4.7GHz boost clock speed, and 20MB L3 cache. It has a TDP of 65W, which is on the lower side, too, making it an efficient and cost-effective option from an energy perspective. It’s also a good way to go for more compact builds such as this one, as it doesn’t require a super robust cooling solution, unlike the notoriously hot i9-14900.
Storage and RAM
This build opts for DDR4 instead of DDR5, which is a decent way of keeping costs down and scaling back in an area you may not fully need, too. There is 32GB here, however, which is more than enough to keep your overall experience feeling snappy and responsive. On the storage front, you’ve got 1TB, which is enough for a good handful of games, and shouldn’t fill up too quickly with a little touch of management from time to time.
Things to consider
While this PC does tick a fair few boxes for the price, we’d say it’s always worth checking out RX 9060 XT 16GB options if you’re looking for excellent value for money. RX 9060 XT 16GB gaming PCs can be found hovering around the $1,200 mark when on sale, and are a good way of getting more VRAM for less. They’re built on RDNA 4 architecture, too, which has more advanced ray tracing and AI capabilities, plus new features like FSR4.
