INNOCN 49″ Curved Monitor

5K2K 120Hz 32:9 QHD 5120 x 1440P Computer Monitor, R1800, 99% sRGB, HDR400, USB Type C, DisplayPort, HDMI, Built-in Speakers, Height/Tilt Adjustable – 49C1R

Key features of this INNOCN 49-inch gaming monitor

49-inch ultrawide, 1800R display

This is one of the widest sizes you can get with a gaming monitor, and designed to give you a super-wide field of view when gaming, more immersion, and allow for much more working space for multiple windows. They’re also especially good for video editors, too. On top of that, it has a slightly less aggressive curvature, which can make it easier on the eyes.

5K2K resolution

This resolution can be a little weird to understand, due to its inclusion of ‘5K’, but it’s essentially like sticking two 1440p monitors together side-by-side. What that means is that you’re getting QHD resolution, but all the way across the screen, so you’re not losing picture quality or clarity despite it being ultrawide.

120Hz refresh rate

This isn’t the highest refresh rate you can get with these types of monitors, but it’s still good for high fps gaming. 120Hz means you can get around 120fps, which is good for smoother gameplay, but may not be high enough for fast-paced competitive play. That being said, you don’t really buy a monitor this size for a competitive edge anyway.

99% sRGB, HDR 400, and more

This monitor has a pretty decent color range and accuracy. Its 99% sRGB color is going to be good for making content and games look more vibrant, and it’ll be relatively decent for editing, but ideally, you’d want a high DCI-P3 percentage coverage for video editing in particular. Its color accuracy comes in at Delta < E 2, which means that it can reproduce color that’s practically indistinguishable from real life. In addition, it’s earned a VESA DisplayHDR 400 rating, which means it has notably good brightness, contrast, and color, once more.

Deals season is here folks, and with it comes a plethora of eye-catching price cuts on some of the industry's most popular tech. Below are some of the best deals you can find right now.

Things to consider

This is basically a great value, basic 49-inch monitor, and for the price, you’re getting a lot for your money. That being said, you may want to explore other options if you’re looking for better gaming performance and something that’s better suited to professional-level editing. If you go to around the $800 to $1,000 mark, you’ll start coming across monitors with much more advanced panel technology, like mini-LED and QD-OLED. These will be better for brightness, color, and contrast. You’ll also find higher refresh rates, like 144Hz and 240Hz, which will be much better if you’re playing at high fps. Many of these go on sale, with Samsung, in particular, having some cracking options.
