AMD confirms over 30 games supported by FSR 4 at launch, with many more coming this year

The official announcement of the Radeon RX 9070 series has finally come from AMD, revealing some new information on what PC users can expect from these new cards, particularly when it comes to the newly updated software.
AMD's FSR toolset has always lagged behind when compared to Nvidia's DLSS, largely because Nvidia's systems leaned fairly heavily on Machine Learning technology that AMD had not yet developed. The new FSR 4 software has included Machine Learning for its Upscaling tech, bringing it more into line with Nvidia.

The other major advantage that Nvidia had was simply that more games supported DLSS technologies. This time, AMD is hitting back, promising over 30 games with FSR 4 compatibility at launch, with over 75 more titles to be added by the end of the year.
These new FSR 4-enabled titles include Marvel's Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarök, Civilization 7, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which encompasses some of the biggest PC releases, with still more to come.

According to AMD, many major game studios are working with AMD to add support for FSR to more games. Named studios include SEGA, Naughty Dog, Insomnia Games, Guerrilla and Torn Banner, among others.
The AMD Radeon 9000 series graphics cards will all come equipped with FSR technologies, including Temporal Upscaling, Machine Learning Upscaling, Native Anti-Aliasing and Frame Generation.
Notably, users will have total control over whether FSR 4 is enabled, as it is controlled through a manual toggle in AMD's software suite. Alternatively, it can be enabled via AMD's HYPR-RX profiles. At this stage, the FSR technology can only be implemented on games that directly support it.
At the moment, it is not known how well FSR 4 performs compared to Nvidia DLSS or its FSR 3.1 predecessor. That information will not be available until the cards are put on test benches so they can be properly put through their paces.
