AMD’s RX 9070 series GPUs received a lot of positive feedback and they came out as a solid alternative to NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series lineup, particularly the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti. However, shortly after the launch, gamers faced stock shortages despite retailers confirming they had healthy inventory, indicating that demand was far higher than anticipated.

In response, AMD assured that they are working hard to replenish stock as soon as possible and even held a giveaway for the RX 9070 XT GPUs, which has since ended, but if you signed up, you might score a signed RX 9070 XT GPU. To further address stock shortages, another board partner has now confirmed that the RX 9070 series will continue to be available in stable supply after next month.

Yeston announces RX 9070 series restock date

The board partner in question is Yeston, a Chinese brand known for making custom AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, including the Sakura Edition series. The company took to X to announce that they are aware of the limited supply but expect RX 9070 series stock to be in a much more stable state after April.

Interestingly, this comes right after a leak suggested that AMD is introducing a two-tier system for GPU chip allocation. In this system, major board partners like ASUS and XFX fall under the First Tier Core AMD board partners and receive the majority of GPU chips, meanwhile, Second-tier or non-core AMD partners, like Yeston, are expected to get fewer chips.

More board partners to join soon

Now, placing Yeston in the second tier doesn’t necessarily mean they will struggle to secure a steady supply of GPUs. In fact, their recent tweet suggests the opposite, indicating that they are expected to receive more chips and that restocks are definitely on the way.

That said, the authenticity of the tiered chip allocation leak is uncertain, but given that Yeston’s tweet came right after the leak surfaced, it does seem like the red team is working on something to address stock supply issues, and we might hear more stock updates from other board partners, especially those in the “core AMD partner” sector.
