AMD promises RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT stock will soon be replenished following “phenomenal” demand
Table of Contents
AMD has just enjoyed a fantastic launch of its new Radeon RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT graphics cards. Ahead of the big release, stock levels were looking fantastic – some retailers boasted “over 1,000” cards per brand, with plenty of supply to go around. Despite that, the cards quickly vanished off shelves, and stock levels already need to be addressed.
You can follow along with our RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT stock tracker, but the general gist is that most SKUs are out of stock at the time of writing (if not all by the time you read this). As a result, AMD’s Frank Azor has commented on the situation, confirming that they are working with partners to bring more stock to customers.

Expect more RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT stock in “the coming days and weeks”
In a recent post on X from Frank Azor, Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and Gaming Marketing at AMD, he notes that demand has been “phenomenal” after visiting the Micro Center Miami store, going on to explain that Team Red is “working with our AIBs to replenish stock” as soon as possible.
The RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT launched with $549 and $599 MSRPs, respectively. However, it’s worth noting that many SKUs are not selling at these prices – we even spotted one RX 9070 XT retailling for more than $800. If you’re looking to score a relative bargain, then you’ll be happy to know that Azor assures that MSRP pricing “will continue to be encouraged” (excluding region-specific tariffs and/or taxes).
With Nvidia’s rival RTX 5070 family GPUs suffering from even worse stock levels and PC gamers concluding AMD’s new cards are better value for money, we expect the RX 9070 series to continue on its sales hot streak. You can continue to find the best retailers for these new cards in our dedicated ‘Where to buy RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT‘ guide, and if you’re wondering which partners you may be able to buy from directly, they are as follows:
