The next two graphics cards in AMD’s Radeon lineup will be hitting the shelves in a matter of hours, and if you’re looking to pre order an RX 9070 XT or RX 9070 GPU (which looks to be an unlikely proposition) or buy them as soon as the release time hits, then this is the page for you. The specifications of both these cards have been confirmed and the first benchmarks are in, and both cards look to compare favorably against the competing Nvidia 50-series, which is music to the ears of many disappointed with those releases. Stock of both cards seems to also be considerably better than on the near-paper launches of the Green team, which we’re very glad about. Confirmed specifications for both GPUs

AMD has now confirmed the specifications for both cards. You can read these on AMD’s site for both the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, or see below for our summary table. Pretty much all of this was accurately predicted by leaks and rumors, although the TDP for both cards was lower than expected.

Below we’ll be listing the available GPUs from US retailers for both cards. The main retailers we expect to see listing products if you live in the States will be Newegg, Best Buy, and of course, Amazon US.

Where to Buy RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 pre order – UK retailers

If you’re in the UK, Overclockers UK tend to have some of the biggest number of AIBs listed for graphics cards, followed by Scan. Novatech tend to have fewer but are worth checking, and of course Amazon UK.

Where to Buy RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 pre order – Canadian retailers

For Canadian buyers, listings of GPUs tend to lag behind other regions for some reason, but on the day you can expect to see products from Amazon CA, Best Buy Canada, and Newegg CA.

Where to Buy RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 pre order – EU retailers

Sometimes it is the EU based Amazon storefronts that end up listing new graphics cards first. This was certainly the case with the Nvidia RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, where the former ended up on both amazon.de and amazon.nl first.

Will there be RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 pre orders?

You don’t really get pre orders for graphics cards (be they Nvidia or AMD or other GPUs), not in the conventional sense of the word at least, i.e. where you get to buy yours before the release date when hits the shelves to give you the peace of mind that you have secured one ahead of release, sometimes with enticing bonuses.

Retailers like Overclockers UK and Best Buy in the US and Canada will likely run what they call pre-orders for the RX 9070 and XT model, but really these are just ways for customers to sign up to email alerts notifying you when the cards arrive in stock and are available to buy. Newegg will also be running similar sign-ups.

Will RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 stock be available?

Given the widely reported stock issues with the Nvidia RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and most recently 5070 launch, there’s been understandable concern that AMD’s graphics card launch would follow suit, however this doesn’t seem like it will be anywhere near as much of a problem.

One large UK retailer Overclockers UK has said: ‘we have so much stock we could build an armada of Borg Cubes pretty much out of every model we have and from all brands, we have several thousand cards in stock spanning across Sapphire, PowerColor and Asrock all of which have 1000+ in stock of each brand.’ They even took a nice picture to illustrate this.

If this is the case with just one UK retailer then we assume that the US, Canada, and EU markets will have plentiful stock. Still, we wouldn’t take any chances – make sure you’re ready to go when the RX 9070 XT & RX 9070 release time hits with your finger on your mouse!
