RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT release time & countdown clock
Table of Contents
It’s finally launch day (March 6th) for AMD’s latest Radeon GPUs. Today, consumers will be able to get their hands on the new RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT graphics cards, and it’s looking like Team Red doesn’t disappoint. Reviews for these cards dropped yesterday, and there’s plenty of praise going around. This follows the launch of Nvidia’s RTX 5070 just yesterday.
In contrast to yesterday’s 5070 launch, retailers claim that there will be plenty of stock for the 9070 series cards, with one large retailer saying it has thousands of cards in stock. With that in mind, we’ve put together everything you need to know about the RX 9070 & XT release time, as well as a countdown clock.
- GPU: Navi 48
- Core: 4096
- VRAM: 16GB GDDR6
- Memory Bus width: 256-bit
- Base/boost clock speed: 2400MHz/3060MHz
- Price: $599
Has the RX 9070 & RX 9070 XT launch time been confirmed?
Although AMD hasn’t announced the exact time of day for the 9070 series launch, we know from many past GPU launches – as well as retailers – that these graphics cards will be available to buy from 9 AM EST onwards. Just yesterday, Overclockers UK confirmed that it will be selling the new cards from 2 PM (UK time), so this is likely the same for all regions. If you want to know the exact times for your region, see below. We’ve also got a countdown clock (if you don’t see one, that means it has expired).
- US Pacific (PST): 6 AM
- US Eastern (EST): 9 AM
- UK / Western Europe (GMT/UCT): 2 PM
- Central Europe (CST): 3 PM
- India (IST): 7:30 PM
- Sydney, Australia (AEDT): 12 AM (midnight), March 6th
- Auckland, New Zealand (NZDT): 2 AM, March 6th

How long will the RX 9070 series remain in stock after release?
This one is hard to judge right now. For Nvidia, it was easy to predict instant stock-outs ahead of launch, but we know that AMD is much more prepared for the launch of these new Radeon GPUs. AMD has boasted “Excellent availability across all markets” for the RX 9070 series, but that doesn’t mean they won’t go out of stock as soon as today.
It feels like it has been a while since AMD came out on top versus Nvidia in a GPU launch, but we expect Team Red to be selling a lot of cards this launch day – so we recommend snapping one up as soon as you can.
