After the release of the Ryzen 9000 series processors, people were wondering about the 9000X3D processors and when they’ll drop. However, AMD had other plans, and like how we saw the release of “renewed” Zen 3 processors, it turned out the Ryzen 5 7600X3D was exclusively in the works in collaboration with Microcenter. This is a similar situation to the previous 5600X3D launch last July, which remains a US exclusive.
Microcenter only operates in the United States, giving this processor that “exclusive” status. This meant people in other countries and continents would have to pay hefty shipping fees to get the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Andreas Schilling, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D will be available in Germany at Mindfactory (think Microcenter but German) for €329.
AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X3D is also available in Germany
Andreas showed off the new chip in its packaging just below:
While this is great news for everyone outside the US, inside the US, this processor has an MSRP of $299, which, after a direct conversion to Euros, comes around to €268.83. So, you’ll be paying €60.17 more based on this. We’re not sure whether this is because it was initially only available in Microcenter, but we’ll wait for the picture to get clearer.
Speaking of AM5 and Microcenter, the store recently put out a Ryzen 9000 series bundle we’d suggest checking out if you’re in the market for a latest-gen upgrade.
Back on topic, considering the conversion here, we’d have to say that the 7600X3D seems fairly overpriced in Europe. Response to the news online also reflects that, with one user on Reddit calling it “wildly overpriced”. Another predicts that it “will be down to 229 euros within 4-6 months”. If this does turn out to be the case, then it would be a much more appealing chip as a budget gaming solution on the latest AM5 platform.
