AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X & Ryzen 9 9900X are already available to buy on Amazon’s Netherlands storefront, with delivery dates ranging from the 16th of August to the 3rd of September, 2024.
AMD is on the cusp of launching its higher-end 9000 series CPUs, with the Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X both set to release on the 15th of August, 2024.
However, in a strange turn of events, Amazon’s Netherlands storefront has already posted the CPUs as available ‘to buy’. The Dutch storefront has seemingly launched the CPUs a day early, but beware, stock levels may yet be problematic as the estimated time of arrival for the flagship Ryzen 9 9950X is set for September 3rd, 2024.

Reviews for the new chips have also just gone live from tier-1 publications and things look a lot better so far – despite gaming performance still likely behind the X3D models – meaning there’s still a chance for a decent AMD launch this year.
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X & Ryzen 9 9900X both available on Amazon
As you can see from the image above, the Ryzen 9 9950X is being listed for €688.52 – with a delivery date set for around the 2nd or 3rd of September, 2024. By contrast, the Ryzen 9 9900X will start at €516.89 and will offer a much quicker delivery time of August 16th, 2024.
Both the availability and delivery estimates (if true) are a stark contrast between the brand’s earlier 9600X and 9700X launches – with both seemingly unavailable at 2 PM on their respective launch days. However, it still doesn’t look to good for AMD as the users look like they’ll have to wait until September to actually get their hands on the CPU.
Overall, I think this is a positive sign for Team Red, as it likely indicates that stock levels for the higher-end CPUs within the 9000 series are much healthier. Obviously, that could all be hokum – and come this time tomorrow, we could be staring at another “unavailable” tag in the US. But right now, it looks good.
