An even bigger Legion Go battery mod is available on Amazon, after fans begin to upgrade

Table of Contents
Lenovo’s Legion Go is a solid handheld device that offers a smooth gaming experience on the go. However, handheld gamers are always craving a better battery life. Earlier this year, in April, a battery upgrade mod became available that used a 77.6Whr battery. This was a big improvement over the stock 49.2Whr battery in the original model and gave users up to 50% more playtime. But now, there's an even better option available, albeit only slightly.
Lenovo Legion Go users can now get an 81Whr battery
If you head over to Amazon, you'll find a new 81Whr battery listed for the Lenovo Legion Go for $59.88 after a 9% discount. It's sold by a brand called Hubei, and while it may not seem like a huge jump from 77.6Whr, every little bit counts when it comes to battery life in a gaming handheld.

A Reddit user tested this new 81Whr battery and shared some helpful feedback. According to them, they didn't run detailed tests but still got around 5 and a half hours of YouTube and lighter gaming like Langrisser, and about 3 hours on a more demanding game like Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time. When running Stellar Blade at 1200p while using the standard Steam Deck settings, the device showed around 2 hours of projected battery life at 80%, which they felt was plenty compared to the original battery.
The user also tested the battery at different wattage levels. At 25 watts, they got 2 hours and 15 minutes. At 15 watts, the Legion Go lasted 3 hours and 30 minutes. At 5 watts, the battery drained very slowly, with the system estimating over 7 hours remaining at 67%. They even mentioned it might reach over 10 hours, which is impressive.
Another big improvement is how the new 81Whr battery manages charging. With the previous 77Whr mod, there was a problem where the battery didn't stop charging at 100%, which could be risky if the device was left docked for a long time. The new battery reportedly does not have that issue, seemingly making it a safer option.
