Welcome Home is being held as a media experience in New York rather than a traditional event at Apple Park. If a livestream isn’t available, announcements should still appear through Apple’s official channels as the event takes place.

The biggest announcement is expected to be Apple’s long-rumored smart home hub, which is reportedly called the HomeView. The device is expected to feature a roughly 6-inch touchscreen and could be available in versions designed to sit on a table or mount to a wall. It would act as a central place for controlling smart home devices while also providing access to features such as FaceTime, Siri, calendars, music, reminders, and other Apple services.
Apple could also introduce homeOS, a new platform built specifically around its smart home products. Reports suggest the interface will borrow ideas from iOS, tvOS, and watchOS while keeping smart home controls at the center of the experience. The hub could also recognize different users through voice or facial recognition and show personalized information depending on who is using it.
The HomePod mini is expected to receive its first hardware refresh since 2020. Apple reportedly plans to keep the overall design familiar while adding a newer processor capable of handling its latest Siri AI features. On top of that, a refreshed Apple TV 4K could also appear during the event, and the new model is expected to feature a faster processor, which should help improve performance.
