RTX 5090 release day is here (the same goes for the 5080), and it’s now becoming clear how much one of these new flagship GPUs will cost you. While Nvidia will be selling its Founders Edition for $1,999, you’ll be paying a whole lot more for some custom models. And in the case of one ASUS ROG model, you’ll be paying as much as $3,099.99 USD.

Prior to today, there have been several early listings and leaks that give us an idea of the AIB pricing for the 5090 and 5080, while another report gave us a possible reason why most RTX 50 series GPUs aren’t priced at MSRP.

The ROG Astral LC GeForce RTX 5090 will set you back a whopping amount of cash. You can read about this model in more detail on the ASUS ROG website. It comes paired with a 360mm radiator for improved cooling, adding to the expense.

As we can see, only two models are actually available at MSRP – $1,999.99 and $999.99 for the 5090 and 5080 respectively – so we expect these to sell out quickly. Both of these models are listed under ‘special launch pricing’ so don’t expect them to remain at that price for long. Once the launch event is over, the TUF Gaming RTX 5090 will be priced at $2,299.99, while the ASUS Prime RTX 5080 rises to $1,149.99.
