This best-selling iBUYPOWER gaming PC has a hefty $400 discount at Newegg, and we think it’s well worth a look. Reduced from $2,199.99 to $1,799.99, this prebuilt packs an excellent graphics card for 1440p and 4K, the RX 9070 XT 16GB, and one of the top gaming CPUs, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. On top of that, it also has 32GB of DDR5 and decent decent-sized 1TB SSD. For under $1,800, we think you’re getting a lot for your money, and it makes for a tempting alternative to an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB gaming PC from a price-to-performance perspective, too.

iBUYPOWER Slate 9 Black Gaming PC Desktop – AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

AMD Radeon RX 9070XT 16GB – 32GB DDR5 RGB – 1TB NVMe SSD – SBA7R97XT01

Key features of this iBUYPOWER Slate 9 Black Gaming PC

RX 9070 XT graphics card

One of the best pound-for-pound graphics cards you can buy for 1440p and 4K gaming, the RX 9070 XT is a solid, more affordable alternative to the likes of Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti, boasting similar performance in many respects. It’s built on RDNA 4 architecture, which improves upon the previous generation in terms of ray tracing and AI performance, and it features 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM. It also features the latest FSR4 upscaling technology, which allows it to push perceived framerates higher, much in the same way Nvidia’s DLSS 4 does. Read our full review for our benchmarks and how it performed in our testing.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor

It may be an older release, but the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is still one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, and an excellent, cost-effective option to go for. It has 8 cores and 16 threads, making it quite adept for multitasking and multithreaded workloads, like video editing, but it’s its massive 96MB L3 cache that’s the big selling point here. This unique 3D v-cache is designed to hold far more data for quick access than your traditional Ryzen processors, which dramatically reduces frame latency and improves overall gaming performance. Read our review for a deeper dive here.

Storage and RAM

This build ops for 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is brilliant for a number of reasons. It gives you enough headroom for beefier system requirements, allows you to run RAM-intensive editing software and applications, and significantly improves multitasking and responsiveness. You’ve also got a relatively large 1TB SSD here, which is the more entry-level in some respects. You can store a good handful of large AAA games on this with no worries about running out of space, but for vast gaming libraries or those wanting to store hundreds of hours of 4K footage, you may need something larger.

Things to consider

This is a great PC for the price, with the only real consideration being whether to go for an RTX 5070 Ti or not. In short, Nvidia’s card is going to have the edge in a few departments, as it’s built on its new Blackwell architecture. This means you’ve got the latest 4th-gen ray tracing and 5th-gen tensor cores, faster GDDR7 VRAM, and multi-frame generation upscaling technology. There are also various drivers and features made with creatives and streamers in mind, which can come in handy if you’re splitting your time between gaming and content creation, for example. Most RXT 5070 Ti builds hover around $2,000, but can reach closer to $2,500 depending on the brand.
