Computex 2024 gave many brands a chance to showcase the innovations they’ve been working on, and DeepCool certainly caught the attention of many with its new CPU cooler and PC case designs. They showcased three new casings, all with their own unique features, but the most eye-catching one was the one with a display panel at the bottom and the CPU cooler, which had a stylish adjustable display of its own.
What’s new with DeepCool?
The Assassin IV CPU cooler saw a major uplift this year as DeepCool made interesting and functional design changes. This cooler now features a slim, rectangular LCD that can be magnetically attached to the top of the cooler.
Not only does this look better and add to the overall aesthetic of your build, but it also provides valuable information about your system. So, gone are the days where you had to spend top dollar for an AIO CPU cooler with a display just so you can monitor your CPU temperature directly on the hardware.
Not only does this display show the temperature but also the CPU usage, power, and frequency. Whether you can change these parameters or display something else is yet to be seen. That said, even this information should come in handy if you’re overclocking the CPU, as you can monitor the temperature and frequency at all times. Other than that, DeepCool also installed a 3D Vapor chamber on the contact patch which should help in efficient heat dissipation.
What about cases?
Moving on, DeepCool also displayed the CH170 casing at their Computex 2024 booth. While it looks similar to the CH160 they also showed off, it has a panel at the bottom that shows the same information as the display on the CPU cooler.
So, there would be no point in having the same information being displayed on two components, but if Deepcool allows for some customization, then it would make sense to get both of these parts. If not, you could get the new CPU cooler and opt for the CH160 casing to save costs because we’d imagined any level of “fanciness” would come with a hefty price tag.
