Epic Games frequently gives away games for completely free and we think it’s a great way of discovering new games. At the moment, Epic Games is offering two games that players can download for free.
To be more specific, Epic Games is offering two very different games – TOEM, which is a relaxing adventure, and The Last Stand: Aftermath, which is a zombie-themed survival. Players can get these games at no cost between September 19th and September 26th (until 3 PM UTC).
TOEM – Take on photographic quests
At a glance, TOEM appears a bit unusual with its monochromatic visuals. However, the hand-drawn landscapes take players on a relaxing adventure. You step into the role of a photographer who takes on quests from local newspapers and other characters. You get to explore the city, the forest, and other locations. There is no time constraint, so you can explore the handmade illustrations at your own pace.
The game was developed by Something We Made and released in 2017. Considering the positive reviews on Steam and Metacritic, we’d say it’s a great pick.
The Last Stand: Aftermath – Fight for survival
Quite contrary to TOEM, The Last Stand: Aftermath is a rogue-lite survival game. Much like the name suggests, this game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where you, the main character, get infected by a deadly virus. You have to fight waves and waves of zombies, collect resources, and craft items to survive.
The Last Stand: Aftermath was released in 2021, and it was published by Armor Games Studios. On Steam, this game has a very positive (81%) rating, while the reviews on Metacritic are mixed. So, if you prefer action-packed games, then this zombie-themed title will be a good addition to your library.
