AMD’s highly anticipated 9000-series CPU lineup launches today – well, the 9600X and 9700X do – and ahead of schedule, we’re already seeing 9600X & 9700X gaming PCs hit Amazon.

The next-generation of Zen 5 CPUs is likely to launch today at 10:00 AM EST/ 140:00 BST, and despite a lackluster first round of reviews for the entry-level chips, anticipation is still high.

While we’re still waiting for both of the lower-end CPUs to launch, Amazon has already gone live with a number of 9600X/9700X-powered gaming PCs. That’s right, like always, the first signs of the new CPU lineup have landed from custom builders – and pricing seems pretty suspect at first glance.

First Ryzen 5 9600X gaming PCs

As you can see, the pricing for the new 9600X gaming PCs is floating between $1,279 – $2,199, depending on what other hardware you have around the PC.

These early prebuilts do give us a sneak peek into what we can expect from custom PC builders moving forward, and it’ll be more interesting to see how the last-gen of prebuilts are affected – from a pricing perspective.
