The latest Gears of War game arrives today on Xbox Series X/S and Windows PCs. More specifically, Gears of War: E-Day launches today (October 1) exclusively for those who pre-ordered the Premium Edition, giving fans a 5-day head start ahead of the full release on the 6th. E-Day has also been available to pre-load since September 29th, and the PC system requirements are official.

October is going to be a fairly stacked month as far as game launches go, especially with game developers and publishers avoiding November, which is when GTA 6 is due to release. Later this month also sees the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. In any case, back on topic with Gears of War: E-Day, below we explain exactly when early access starts for Premium Edition customers.

When can you play Gears of War E-Day today?

Anyone who pre-ordered the Premium Edition of Gears of War E-Day will be able to jump in today from 8 AM Pacific Time. Unfortunately, Xbox Game Pass players don’t benefit from the early access period. “Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members can join the fight starting October 6,” say the devs. It will not be available on day one for Premium and Essential tiers.
