Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 system requirements revealed ahead of tomorrow’s early access beta
Table of Contents
Gamers looking to jump into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 for the first time can do so tomorrow, August 21. The early access open beta is available to those who have pre-ordered the game and runs until August 25 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Just ahead of the launch, Activision has published PC specs for the beta. As per usual with COD, they’re pretty relaxed.
Interestingly, the file size has been left out of the equation, but aside from that, we have a full view of the system requirements on PC. These are specifically for the beta, so they may differ slightly from the full version of the game. Either way, shader preloading will also be available for PC players in the MW4 beta – players can download shaders before they launch the game.

A few additional requirements include a broadband internet connection, DirectX 12, TPM 2.0, and Secure Boot compatibility. Activision says “Other security measures may be enforced,” which likely alludes to anti-cheat software. If you’re worried about TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, there is a Call of Duty Secure Attestation Wizard to verify your PC, so you don’t have to waste time downloading the game itself. In addition to the hardware requirements, Activision recommends the following drivers:
