Google Pixel 9 Pro XL expected specs and performance
The upcoming Pixel series was previously leaked by Rozetked. This leak featured live images of the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. Since then, Pixel fans have been wondering about their performance, especially the XL Pro model. If you’re one of them, you’ll be excited to know that the phone was recently listed on GeekBench, a site for benchmark results. This listing not only confirms the first-ever XL Pro variant in the Pixel series but also gives us a closer look at its performance.
According to the listing, the Pixel 9 Pro XL comes with 16GB of RAM and a Tensor G4 processor, which features a single 3.10 GHz prime core, three 2.6 GHz performance cores, and four 1.95 GHz efficiency cores. However, the main highlight of the listing is the performance benchmarks, which confirm that the Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 1950 scores in Single-Core tests and 4655 scores in Multi-Core tests. If we compare this to the Google Pixel 8 Pro, which had a 1683 Single-Core score and 3721 Multi-Core score on Tensor G3, we can see that the Pixel 9 Pro XL offers slightly better performance.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Pixel 9 series is expected to feature a Pixel 9 Pro, and it will be more appropriate to compare it with the Pixel 8 Pro. However, while GeekBench listed the regular Pixel 9 a few days ago, there is still no information about the Pro version. Interestingly, the Single-Core performance of the regular Pixel 9 is almost the same as the Pixel 8 Pro, while the Multi-Core performance is slightly better.
