Google Veo 3 can give you the ending you wanted to your favorite TV shows
Table of Contents
Every major brand globally is in the race to develop their AI and evolve it to the highest level possible. In this race of AI supremacy, Google introduced Veo 3, which is available via Flow but only in early access for the time being.
Google Veo 3 takes AI content creation to the next level by bringing super realism, synchronized audio, sound effects, and more to the table. Now, previously, you could tell the difference between a real and an AI video as the fingers would be distorted, and so would be the faces in the background of such videos.
The introduction of Veo 3 has moved past that limitation, and while this has a lot of negative uses and there is plenty of backlash online as creators and other professionals feel their livelihood is being threatened, every technology has pros and cons.
Bring your imagination to reality
In a recent post by Enceladuus on Reddit, they shared an idea of reviving old TV shows using AI, specifically, with Veo 3. We’ve seen what Veo 3 is capable of, so the idea isn’t far-fetched at all. The only downside is that it would take plenty of prep so that you preserve as much of the monthly quota as possible.
That being said, the idea was appreciated by many as they were fans of various fandoms, whose adaptations ended poorly or were completely dropped, such as Firefly, Stargate Universe, and more, would love to see the shows brought back to life and follow the accurate lore.

Below, you’ll see a screenshot example of what is possible. This is one of the numerous videos created with the help of Veo 3, and to showcase the realism, I took a screenshot of it. The prompt for this 8-second video was “A medium shot, historical adventure setting: Warm lamplight illuminates a cartographer in a cluttered study, poring over an ancient, sprawling map spread across a large table. Cartographer: “According to this old sea chart, the lost island isn’t myth! We must prepare an expedition immediately!”

So, whether there is a game that has a deep lore like Apex Legends or a TV show that left the community disappointed, like Game of Thrones (yes, I’m talking about season 8), Veo 3 gives fans around the globe a chance at closure. We have to admit, it’s obviously not exactly the same thing, and there is always weight behind content which is canon (and importantly, not created by an AI).
On the other hand, there is no doubt that this technology can be used maliciously as well, and these companies have a big responsibility to regulate their tech properly. Google explains how they plan on doing that:
“We built Veo with responsibility and safety in mind. We block harmful requests and results, we test how new features might affect safety, and we have both our own teams and outside experts try to find and fix potential problems before release.
It’s crucial to introduce technologies such as Veo in a responsible way. To achieve this, videos made with Veo will be marked with SynthID, our advanced technology for watermarking and detecting content generated by AI. Additionally, Veo outputs will undergo safety evaluations and checks for memorized content to reduce potential issues related to privacy, copyright infringement, and bias.”
