GTA 5 coming to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, says leak, following GTA 6 delay announcement

You may have heard at this point that GTA VI has been delayed, yet again. The new release date has been penciled in for November 19, 2026, though it’s getting harder to judge whether this will end up being the final date. In any case, that means there’s now more than year to wait until what is probably the most anticipated video game of all time. Rockstar may not be able to do much to soften the blow, but a new leak suggests there’s at least something for GTA fans to latch onto.
GTA 5, which released way back in 2013, is set to join the PlayStation Plus game catalog, according to the leak. This is a catalog of games freely accessible to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. We imagine that most people who want to play GTA 5 have already done so by now, but this will be a nice addition regardless.
GTA V is coming to PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, says leak
According to credible leaker, billbil-kun, writing for French publication Dealabs, Grand Theft Auto V is being added to the PlayStation Plus game catalog. It is expected to be added on November 18. You can find a full list of PS Plus games here; the only game from the GTA franchise currently on there is the definitive edition of Grand Theft Auto III. Earlier this month, Sony added Stray, EA Sports WRC 24, and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator to the catalog.
This leak comes not long after Rockstar officially announced the new release date, which was humorously met with a self-burn from CD Projekt RED, the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 – a game which had a turbulent release cycle of its own. It’s safe to say that fans are disappointed with the delay, though we’re sure many will share Rockstar’s sentiment that the game should be highly polished before being released to the wild.
billbil-kun teased the announcement yesterday, leading to some wild speculation. They did warn that it’s not a “hype” announcement, despite some people jumping to the conclusion of a new remaster. GTA V coming to PS Plus members is hardly going to soften the blow of GTA 6’s delay.
